Tony founded embracing ADHD more than 10 years ago dedicated to treating adults with this often misunderstood condition. Our doctors and support staff work together to provide a seamless approach to diagnosis and treatment.
Meet The Team
Dr Tony Mander
Highly respected in his field, Tony has lectured in the UK, Ireland, Holland, USA and Australia. He was a Lecturer at the University of Edinburgh where he supervised many psychiatric trainees pursuing their MPhil Research Degrees. He was Co-ordinator and Principal Lecturer for courses on Affective Disorders and Psychopathology. He has been an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Australia providing courses to medical students on various mental health topics. Tony has taught registrars on the WA Psychiatry Training Programme and has been a guest examiner for the RANZCP. For many years he ran the independent Institute for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. He has published over 40 original articles on various topics in the world literature. For the last 20 years he has focussed on treating adults with ADHD. Since 2020 he has specialised in the use of telehealth. He is a founder member of the Australasian ADHD Professionals Association (aadpa).
Dr Helen Moonen
Dr. Helen Moonen is a dedicated medical professional who graduation from medical school in
Belfast in 1998. Since relocating to Fremantle in 2003, she has embraced a diverse range of
medical experience across different fields.
As a senior doctor, Helen’s core focus revolves around helping her patients attain a balanced state of well-being—addressing physical, mental, and emotional needs. Her commitment to holistic care underscores her role as a healthcare provider who goes beyond treating ailments to promote overall health.
Outside of her professional endeavours, Helen finds pleasure in the pages of crime fiction,
alongside moments of relaxation on the beach. Exploring the local Fremantle restaurants and
cafes also pique her interest, adding a flavourful dimension to her leisure time.
Dr. Helen Moonen's journey, marked by her medical expertise and dedication to comprehensive
well-being, embodies a deep-seated desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those she
serves.
Dr Tammie Wong
Dr Tammie Wong was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia and graduated from The University of Notre Dame Fremantle in 2010. She obtained fellowship at the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016.
Prior to Medicine, Tammie had completed a Bachelors of Biomedical Science and Molecular Biology with Honours. It was through Honours year that Tammie learned (rapidly) that she much prefers working with people than in a laboratory. Tammie has always had a strong interest in mental health and is passionate about whole patient care.
Outside of work, Tammie loves spending time with her family, spoiling her dog, hiking the outdoors and cooking.
Our Other Staff
In addition to Joyce, Lucy and Christine, we have a team of 6 receptionists who will answer your call and make your scheduled appointments. We still prefer email though for any of your questions as that means we have a record of what has been said.
